Hi. Your book is avaliable in Commercial Press. I boguht it today. Really hope that you can write somemore book in the future. Will you consider to write a book on value investment rather than articles extracted from your blog?

Hi Ben,I found your blog very helpful, eilecsaply the articles on > WSS 3.0 and Search Server Express and Replace Search Home page with default WSS Team Site on Search Server Express.I run a Building Controls company and my main aim over the next 12-18months is to get our eservices up to scratch as an organisation (small business). I have recently written a cheque out for the development of a SharePoint web portal – the guy’s we used are nice and have configured the site (60%) but we have not been happy with their branding. We have therefore removed it out of their package and contracted our own web designer. To push the site ahead I am mindful that we need a strong search engine facility, a few clicks and a stumbled across your blog. What’s your consensus with regards to WSS3 and Search Server Express? Does it do the job?Being new to this side of the business even though I come from a technical background (building controls software engineer) I have found it hard to find good guy’s who know their stuff within the .NET arena. Thanks, James

Hi James,Apologies for being offline for so long monivg house, missing hamsters and expectant mothers have all played their part but that's another story! It's good to see that there are those prosumers out there who have recognised the value of SharePoint within their business. WSS and SSE are excellen t products and stability-wise you have nothing to fear from them in terms of capability. The only draw back is capacity. If you've employed someone who is WSS-savy in the design sense then you can get a great looking site with all the fantastic SharePoint technology behind it and that has to be a winner. I find the cost with SharePoint is either in the consultancy to get exactly what you want, or the bespoke development (or both) at least for the small business. The enterprise features in MOSS are exciting and can make certain cusotmisation a lot simpler but for what you need, I certainly think you have made the correct choice out of the SP family. In your shoes, I would have done the same. Best of luck with it all!Ben

. I've been a Disney fan forever (right from siinttg in front of the TV on Sunday nights watching The Wonderful World of Disney!) and for the longest time, a Disney vacation was the only time I would take out my camera (thanks to Flickr for making me have my camera on my desk & using it almost daily!). Walt Disney World is truly my Happy Place' and I would go there first before any other vacation spot! I completely agree that the memories you can capture in a photo are priceless best souvenirs you can have! And the best part the more you take, the more you can extend your Disney vacation when you get home as you're going through them and reliving all the magic! Thanks for a great article! I need to forward this to all my friends who roll their eyes when I get onto a Disney tangent this may help them to understand what it's all about

Thanks Ankur. I'm writing this on a Pentium III 700MHz Coppermine with 384MB RAM, it did make a diencreffe to me (although in your case adding more RAM would help if you want to run other things in addition to Firefox).Extensions: check out extensionmirror.nl (seems to be temporarily down now), they have repackaged many of the more useful extensions for 1.0., for example and .Someone on the india-gii mailing list already noted that Reliance was offering broadband in select Bangalore localities. Lucky them, it's not available in Chennai yet. I'd love to see 256kbps+ service around Rs 1000 per month without stupid download caps.

, Cory. I agree with each and every point you made.Photography has really rwneeed a sense of excitement. For me growing up, I only got to visit DLR once ever year or two and I couldn't wait to get back. As I got older, moved to southern California and got an AP, I would go so often that the magic that made it so special naturally wore off. I picked up photography a few years ago and discovered the enjoyment of capturing the magic at Disneyland. It's a great place to try your hand at any type of photography imaginable.Your point about souvenirs is spot on. I would much rather take some nice photos to preserve the memories than some shirt, hat or key chain.Great article! http://ohmwws.com octruxeioer [link=http://ufrudy.com]ufrudy[/link]

Thanks about that; I am just too cheap to get more RAM. Rather save every penny of AMD 64 + nForce; eventually About branbdoad: I have read at many places that the one of the requirements about advertising branbdoad services is that the downloads should be unlimited. Now, that sounds almost too good to be true (this is India after all, the mentality .), but I think what many ISP's are going to do is to stay mum about most users and go after the top 5-10% bandwidth hoggers. Then again, I keep reading that it's not the download as much as upload that pisses off ISPs.Still, this would be a great improvement over the current branbdoad being offered at ridiculous caps like 0.5-2 GB per month when I can download about 3-5 GB's of data comfortably over my trusty BSNL dial-up just by scheduling downloads at night. (No ISP charges 11-8!, and fixed monthly bill of Rs 550).Reliance already have announced the rates on their website, I think some taxes may be extra. BSNL are in typical sarkari rollout mode, the bigger challenge is going to be provide/maintain the DSL service over their regular copper! I foresee much misery.I am very concerned about the security aspect. The general IT awareness levels in India are pathetic. How many people do you think will actually have an openBSD gateway/firewall to their shiny new BSNL/Reliance connection? But who cares as long as we can download playboy videos faster .

If QuotesChimp agree that a Public Advocate is an idea that could help keep insurance rates down, become an activist and write your legislators and governor demanding that the office be established in your state. You never know, your letter could be the first step in the long journey toward the mythical destination of pricing fairness. Here is a sample letter you may send to your state representative.
